Nursery / Greenhouse
Nelson Irrigation has a full range of irrigation products that put water in its place in a variety of nursery and greenhouse applications. Some options include: R5 Rotators™ under canopy in ornamental trees, and R2000WF Rotators™ for overhead irrigation.
For outdoor overhead irrigation of container grown stock use the R2000WF for lower application rates and the S10 Spinner for higher application rates -- both provide very high uniformity. For greenhouse applications, the S10 Spinner has different plate options for different mounting configurations. It can be used with an inverted mount for cold frames, an upright or inverted mount for shade houses, and an upright or inverted mount for larger, more open greenhouses. The Nelson D10 Spray is intended for irrigation of smaller areas and for high pressure misting. Its wide selection of nozzle sizes lets you pick an ideal application rate.
We recommend the Nelson Mini Regulator Drain check as a companion to the S10, D10, or R2000WF to lock in high uniformity, even flows, and for preventing unwanted drainage after system shut down.
New design technologies have enabled the development of highly uniform sprinklers such as the S10 or R2000WF; however, any sprinkler can provide poor coverage if it is not properly spaced. Have a uniformity analysis completed before you finalize your spacing, pressure and sprinkler decisions. The Nelson Overlap Software is able to provide you with the information you need to get a highly uniform system at a reasonable cost.
